Janbazan Interchange in the city of Karaj

The lack of coherent main artery roads in Karaj, particularly on the way to the north and south of the city led to an unsatisfactory distribution of urban trips. As a result, most hours of the day, the downtown streets face with heavy and annoying traffic. The necessity of making smooth flow-traffic on the streets and intersections in downtown, particularly Chaloos-Karaj road entrance, as one of the main passage routes into Mazandaran province, caused the implementation of Janbazan Interchange which is considered as a top priority of this axis.

The bridge has a length of 948 m, a deck width of 4/27 m with 3-band transmission in each direction. Post-tensioned prestressed concrete voided slab system is used to build the deck of the bridge. Also, due to the density of reinforcement, the concrete is Self-compacting type (SCC (and the ramps have been implemented with geog-rid system. This bridge was recognized as the country's top concrete bridge in 2012 (1391) and was opened with the efforts of managers and staff of the company.
